Uniciti Office Park unveils its second phase

Uniciti Office Park continues to grow in the heart of the smart city of the Medine Group. Eight modern buildings, spreading over 9,000 m2, added up to the first phase of 6,500 m2, delivered in 2015. Uniciti Office Park now covers more than 15,000 m2, including 17 low-rise buildings and features an occupancy rate of 90%, of which 75% of tenants are foreign companies, employing Mauritians mainly.

These companies are involved in various industries, and particularly in financial services, Business Process Outsourcing and range in size from local, small and medium-size enterprises to multinationals.

Edgar Julienne, Senior Development Manager at Medine Property explains that, "At Uniciti Office Park, we have an active community who benefits from an array of possibilities according to the "Live-Work-Enjoy-Learn" philosophy of Uniciti, the smart city of the Medine Group. We provide an entire ecosystem that provides employees with added proximity to the Cascavelle Shopping Village, SPARC and its adjacent medical centre, as well as future residences. Higher education institutions, primary and secondary schools and a nursery and pre-primary schools of Uniciti Education Hub are also a real asset for parents working nearby."

Uniciti Office Park offers flexibility in the design of its interior spaces; hence offices of 50 m2 to more than 1,000 m2, fully set-up and modular, according to the needs of the tenants and equipped with an optical fibre internet connection, a 24/7 security with the support of surveillance cameras, as well as an office cleaning service. The brand new and second phase of the Office Park also hosts a cafeteria, as well as additional covered and non-covered parking spaces.

The Office Park is set to grow in the short term; with 700 employees currently working in phases 1 and 2, this figure should rise to 1,000. Six new buildings on an area of 6,000 m2 will soon be in the making right next to the existing 8 buildings of the second phase. This new space will welcome a business centre operator who will offer complementary services; rental of office spaces of 10 m2 and above, by the hour, by the day or by the week, rental of meeting rooms and video conference rooms, co-working spaces and secretarial services and domiciliation of companies.

The Medine Group also plans major development on an additional 30 hectares to accommodate new phases and business-related projects. This whole development has been earmarked over an area of 145,000 m2.
