The Medine Group has signed a preliminary agreement to create a branch of the prestigious Université Paris Descartes in Mauritius and offer medicine, pharmacy and midwifery courses.

Tapping into these strong ties, Medine has started negotiations with the Government to build a high-tech teaching hospital within Uniciti.

This health facility will provide the resident population and people from surrounding areas with access to quality medical treatment while relieving the burden on existing hospitals. The facility is also expected to make an instrumental contribution to developing Mauritius into the Medical Knowledge Hub for Africa.

A private medical centre is also planned and will be run by specialists.
